DAY 1:
Departure from Cusco very early in the morning in our specialized overland vehicles. We will cross interesting Andean valleys and picturesque peasant communities. A mid-morning visit the Tombs Pre-Inca Ninamarca, known as "Chullpas" then to go to Paucartambo typical colonial town of great importance at that time and still retains its flavor. Continuing the journey to ascend the 3,850 Acjanacu m from here we will descend through the cloud forest, an area rich in endemic species as the spectacled bear and the cock of the rock, orchids, bromeliads, ferns, etc. This varied and fascinating world is home of the Cock of the Rock , spectacled bear, orchids, ferns (one of the oldest living plants), mosses and lichens. the Cloud Forest is located between 2,000 and 3,500 m and at least 50% of the plant species found here are endemic to this region . Lunch on the way observing nature to reach our hostel Orchids San Pedro where we spend our first night comfortably installed.
DAY 2:
Early look for the interesting Cock of the Rock (rupicola peruviana), Peru's national bird, who has a striking plumage of red-orange intense. After breakfast we continue our journey by bus, crossing the high forest, arriving at the town of Pilcopata (* 1), then the port of Atalaya, located along the Alto Madre de Dios River, 700 m.s.n.m. for lunch, then we begin the descent down the river for about 50 minutes to reach our "Erika" Private Reserve (* 2) where we will walk through the interesting trail system that this transitional area between high and low jungle. 1 Free Option: Canoeing: From Pilcopata embark on a journey of about 1 hour and a half of rafting (class I and II) by Koshñipata rivers and / or Alto Madre de Dios, past the spectacular Pongo of Koñeq where we stop to enjoy the scenery and a swim in tropical waters.

DAY 3:
After breakfast, we board our boat ride down the Alto Madre de Dios River to reach the village of Boca Manu This boat tour gives us the opportunity to observe typical birds rio as skimmers, egrets, various species Martin Pescador, swallows and flycatchers. Boca Manu is located a short distance from the confluence of the rivers Manu and Alto Madre de Dios river where you can buy the latest supplies and cold drinks. Overnight in the lodge. DAY 4:
Early, our boat passed by a clay lick Pericos, a clay wall of the river where different species of parrots like the blue head, white eyed parakeets, among others, go every morning to extract and lick pieces of clay to feed salts and minerals needed for digestion. Upon completion of this activity we will make another brief stop at the lookout Limonal where we register in the Book of Visitors to control entry to the reserve. Undertake the current Manu trip upriver leaving all traces of civilization toward the heart of the reserve for about 4 hours to Cocha Salvador, where we will spend the next two nights in our camp Safari Sajino which has double rooms fully entangled, screened dining room, shared toilet facilities including showers, radio communications and photovoltaic.
During this journey you will appreciate often a number of species of birds, macaws, herones, kingfishers, cormorants; and improve our chances of finding capybaras, caimans, river turtles, monkeys and mammals often sunning on the beaches or feeding in the surrounding trees. This tour shows us the immensity of our Amazon jungle. After lunch we spent our time walking in search of wildlife in this pristine forest and then talk about general ecology of the forest. Return to camp.
DAY 5:
Early in the morning, we probably wake howler monkey (Aloatta seniculus) declaring its territory to others. Before breakfast we will walk morning because the temperature at this time is pleasant and makes frequent finding animals in search of food. Cocha Salvador explore using the catamaran, and can see some wildlife species such as the Giant Otter (Pteronura brasiliensis) species in danger of extinction and important inhabitant that can be seen fishing, playing or swimming, just as the Black Cayman (Melanosuchus niger), the Hoatzin (Ophisthocomus hoatzin), the Spider Monkey (Ateles paniscus), etc. and flora of the surrounding area; then we return to the camp where our friendly staff is waiting to offer a refreshing breakfast. We cross a primary forest with greater diversity of species towards Cocha Otorongo, lagoon where a observation tower strategically located 15 meters from where you have the opportunity to appreciate the landscape of the surrounding primary forest and greater possibilities of seeing resident family of giant otters, as well as great opportunities to observe wildlife including the giant otter. This forest has 200 or 300 years old that includes gigantic Ceibas, Ficus and is home to many mammals that occasionally can be found: tamarin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, black spider monkey, brown capuchin monkey; and peccaries. Overnight in our camp Sajino safari.
DAY 6:
Today again we get up early to enjoy walking around Salvador Lake and then pack up and board our boat takes us slowly downstream by the river Manu then headed to Boca Manu. From this point, the river takes the name of Madre de Dios, becoming the hydrographic axis of the Department of Madre de Dios. Possibility of a short night walk to search for the American bullfrogs, horned frogs, tree frogs and a host of colorful insects. Overnight at the lodge Boca Manu.
DAY 7:
A mid-morning or earlier, will cross the river Alto Madre de Dios always observing the enormous diversity of birds, in the evening, you will arrive to the Private Reserve Erika where he walked by his interesting trail system, pass the latter more night, surrounded by the magic of the Amazon rainforest.
DAY 8:
Waking up very early, we continue plying the river to the port of Atalaya and then take the bus back to Cusco arriving at this very late at night.
